Weighed in on Richard's scale today at about 8:34am at 135 pounds 4x now that is amazing. I weighed in at 136 lbs 4x yesterday on his scale. And 137.0 lbs on my scale yesterday.

Richard and I went to Panera Bread yesterday for lunch and I really didn't want to, but I said I will find something I can eat. They have turkey chili so I had that. I did a pick 2 and had that and the Fuji apple chicken salad. but looking back I wish I had just gotten the turkey chili and nothing else. I did get bottled water with it and chips that I gave to Richard as I don't eat chips. I tried the apple chips but was not impressed and just ate the chicken in the salad and the tomatoes and onions and then the chili and that was it. When we first pulled in I asked if he was going to get the mac and cheese and he said oh yeah definitely and he was excited about it but I told him that it wouldn't be nice of him to do that as I like it so much and can't eat it. And do you know what he did? He didn't order it. He just got a full / whole sandwich. That was so nice of him to not get the mac and cheese and I told him that. Very thoughtful of him you know. It was great. I was happy about that.
Went looking for recliner chairs since his was broke. We went to Lazboy, Bob's, Ashley furniture and then Fallon's which is associate with Lazboy, went back to Lazboy and bought the one he really liked. It was $500 we / he got a ten percent discount and then the fabric protection on it and it has a lifetime warranty on some of it. Total was $500 not bad. We borrowed Jess' Rav4 as the back of the chair/ all Lazboy chairs/ recliners the back comes off and then just slides back on/in. Pretty cool! Pretty good day we had though!

Down another 1.6 pounds from last week...139.4 to 137.8 lbs! Way To Go!!!!

I didn't do my measurements, but I did them on Friday March 3, 2017 at home.
Today I weighed in on Richard's scale at 136lbs 4x and then on my scale at 137.8lbs 4x. It was amazing and I was so thrilled and happy! What a great feeling that is!
It really feels that I am actually going to be able to get my goal of 130 lbs at some time this year. I didn't think I would but now I am starting to have faith.
On another note. I pooped Thursday morning 3/2/17 and Friday morning 3/3/17.
And I seem to have more gas. I feel the more veggies I eat I tend to have the gas, tomatoes and onions seem to do it moreso.
I did a great workout at Planet Fitness, Huse Rd today! I was able to do a total of 92 minutes (one hour and 32 minutes). I burned a total of 430 calories on vivosmart. I did the stairclimber for 12:30 minutes today and burned 101 calories on machine and 102 calories burned on vivosmart.
I did level 4 for one minute and then level 10 for 30 seconds for only one or two times and then the rest of the times I did level 11 for 30 seconds and still level 4 for one minute. I am trying to do better.
I did 24:30 minutes on treadmill. The fastest speed I ran/jogged was 5.6 mph at the end/ the last time. I did 5.0 mph, 5.1 mph, 5.2 mph and 5.3 mph as well. And I did anywhere from 20 seconds to 30 seconds.
For the hip abduction machine I did 4 sets of 30 reps 70 pounds. Then I did two sets of 25 reps 80 pounds. That was tough in the end there.
Then, for the hip adduction machine I did 4 sets of 30 reps 70 pounds and it was tough the last two sets. But I did it!
Squats:
I did 50 squats the regular way, feet shoulder length apart.
I had to push to get to 50 squats.
(yesterday Friday March 3, 2017 I worked out at PF in Townsend and I ended up doing squats and then lifting leg to the side I did about 15 maybe of those in the dressing room there and I did regular squats in there as well you know) Then I did stretching in there as well as there was no room to do stretching where I normally do it..
Planks:
I did 5 planks total here are my times:
22.45 seconds
30.31 seconds
30.97 seconds
42.15 seconds
41.52 seconds
I wanted to do five as I usually do five when I have the time. So that is what I wanted to do today. Plus today is the first time since maybe Thursday or Wednesday that I was able to do my full workout meaning everything. When I saw personal trainer/ sarah on Thursday night (3/2/17) she told me that I can do that glutes machine at planet fitness. Not sure PF - Townsend has the Glute/ Glutes machine. I know that PF huse rd in Manchester has it and I hope to use it someday. But I explained the machine to Sarah and she said it would be a good one to do. So maybe next time.
Then, I did butt lifts. I did 2 sets of 20 no weights on my abs this time. And I held butt up at the end of each set for 10 seconds.
Then, I did my stretching. I forgot to do the reverse crunches that I like to do. And I was not able to do Russian twists with medicine ball either. Another time I hope.
But I am so happy and thrilled that I am down to 137.8 lbs. today on my scale.
On Richard's scale I have lose 14 pounds in 8 weeks / 2 months. Which is amazing if you ask me.
That is like 1.75 lbs a week lost on average.
For my scale I have lost a total of 12.2 pounds since being 150 lbs, but then from January 20, 2017 I have lost 9.2 lbs on my scale.
I did tell Sarah that when I get down ten pounds on my scale then I will do my progress pictures and weigh in with her again. I want to wear the same outfit I wore. I had on my black and pink sports bra and the black and pink capri workout pants the one's that stretch at the waist for me. So when I want to do the progress pictures I just have to let her know in advance.
It was nice talking to Sarah about it. I told her that I want to see changes and see progress which is why I want to wait until I am down ten pounds or at least ten pounds. I am thinking that by the 17th I should hopefully be done to 135-136 pounds. You figure if I am at 137.8 pounds technically that means that I only have to lose like .8 pounds before I am at 137 pounds but you know weight fluctuates all the time and during the day as well.
When talking to Sarah about this she told me that she is so excited for my weigh in/ progress photo. She is really excited about it. I have told her before that I am trying to go to planet fitness and do the cardio everyday and that impresses her that I am so dedicated and motivated.
But I look at it this way. One. I am paying for this. It is very costly for me, but worth it. I am 45 years old. I am going through menopause and it is tough to lose belly weight/ fat when you are in menopause and it is even harder to lose weight when you are in your forties. So, I have a few things against me. And I figured if I can do what I can to lose weight then I will do it.
The biggest thing I feel that I have done is change my eating habits. I currently don't eat pizza, cheese, sweets, soda, alcohol, junk food of any kind and no food that has more than 5-6 grams of sugar per serving. It is hard, but it is doable and very worth it for me. I have decided that it is very important to me.
I don't plan on eating pizza, pasta, ice cream, cake, cupcakes, brownies, sweets, candy, soda, alcohol (except one small drink to toast Cassie's 21st when she comes back and I take her out) cheese, and any other junk food for either a long time or at least until I get to my goal weight and can stay there.
I have decided that I don't want to go back to my evil food ways of eating junk food and fast food and soda, pizza, pasta, and anything else that is not good for you. I really want to stick with this. Now that I know that I can do this. I want to keep doing it as much or as long as I can you know. I mean, don't get me wrong I do miss pizza but it is not worth it for me to ruin my diet to have a slice of pizza. I would much rather wait until I am either at my goal weight or something like that. I really want to keep eating good and healthy and making wise food choices.
I am just so proud of myself and the way that I have been losing the weight and such.

I weighed in this morning at 137 lbs 4x, on Richard's scale and at 138.8 lbs 5x on my scale. This is AMAZING!!!
I did my measurements again today only because today is exactly 5 weeks from when I did measurements on Sunday January 22, 2017

Total inches: 229.75" which is interesting that it is the same amount of total inches that I had yesterday but yesterday's inches were different.
I know my hips were 43.5" yesterday so that is something you know. I even measured it a few times this morning and still came up with that amount you know.
It's all good though.
I am very happy that I measured and weighed in again today.
But I think I should make start doing it once a week. Or I will have A LOT of blog posts on here.
I had my lemon water, in 12 oz PS water that I measured myself, at 9:04am today and started eating breakfast shortly after.
Fiber one whole wheat English muffin with Reese's peanut butter (1 table spoon/ on serving) with 2 eggs scrambled with olive oil pam cooking spray, with 13 organic raspberries (61 grams) and 4 medium organic strawberries and herbal mint medley hot tea (peppermint and spearmint combined in one tea, not my favorite I prefer the peppermint solo).
So on my scale I went down 0.6 lbs from yesterday. I know! I know don't weigh in everyday. But that is just what I do to keep myself honest with the food that I eat.
I don't think I ate as much as I thought yesterday. We ordered take out/ pick up from Texas Roadhouse last night because he (Richard Pope) wanted to order out. I have to either get chicken or shrimp grilled plain. But I just had grilled shrimp on Friday night at Longhorn and thought that it would be best to have chicken last night. I got the house salad with no cheese and no crotons and Italian dressing on side. Doesn't matter what dressing I get as I don't usually use it/ eat it. I had the salad plain last night. I also had them bring steamed carrots and broccoli, only thing is that they steamed them in butter cuz I could see it when I got it. I did eat the carrots but I should have asked them to steam the veggies without the butter. Oh well. What ya gonna do. I can do that next time. They sent the bread that we love so much. But I didn't have any as usual. That is what I do now. Richard left one for me and told me I could have it. I told him no thanks. I don't eat bread anymore like that.
I am proud that I can say no to food that I know I shouldn't be eating.
Then, I did have 6 grape tomatoes and a few slices of red onion that I bought and sliced myself after my dinner. As I was still hungry. I think I had maybe one or two pieces of sugarfree spearming Xtra gum yesterday but I didn't have anymore. And I plan to not have the gum or any mints or anything like that.
I didn't have an apple either. I was going to, but since I really don't know exactly what caused the diarrhea yesterday I didn't want to take any chances.

I do remember this one thing that Sarah Varno/ my personal trainer, said to me a week or two ago was that now that my body is used to not eating certain foods and it has detoxified or my body is detoxified that when I do eat something not good for me like junk food or candy or fast food that I will feel sick and it will not make me feel good because I have been eating a certain way for some time. And I was thinking that maybe that was it. I was thinking that maybe because I had the sugarfree strawberry mints that maybe that was my body telling me it didn't want me to eat it and then I had the diarrhea. Who knows? But I do believe that more than what Richard said. Richard told me yesterday/ Saturday February 25, 2017 that the reason I had the diarrhea is because it was my body repairing itself or something like that. He was basically saying that my body was evening itself out from me drinking all the water and all that stuff. I don't know if that is true. I mean, I know drinking lots of water is supposed to cleanse you. He doesn't believe that. He thinks that when you drink too much water that you have issues. It actually works both ways. I can drink to much and cause issues/ die if you drink like 3 liters in a short amount of time and you can injure yourself if you don't drink enough water and become dehydrated. There is a word that I forget if you drink too much water in a short amount of time as well.
But I am good. I just need to drink more water. I stopped drinking the 3 -23.7 oz bottles when he told me that I shouldn't drink that much water. I don't think he knows though. I have always heard that you should try to drink half your body weight in ounces of water. So if I weighed 140 lbs then I would need to drink 70 oz of water a day. But now that I am 138.8 lbs or 139 lbs I really only need to drink between 69.4 to 69.5 oz of water. So basically 70 oz you know. So I could basically drink three of the 23.7 oz bottles and that would give me 71.1 oz of water a day. A little more but that is A-Okay.
So maybe that is what I should aim for. And I think hot water with tea counts as water too. But I don't usually count that. So far I have had 12 oz of water with my lemon this morning and then the water for the tea and then a tiny bit of water with my vitamins and that is it.

Workout at PF - Manchester Gym today....
Today was an interesting day. I was constipated yesterday/ last night (2-24-17) and then I had some ice breakers strawberry flavored mints (a mistake) and some gum. I hadn't chewed gum for three days from Tuesday of this week until Thursday of this week. But I was so hungry Friday night and couldn't help having a piece or two of gum.
So, this morning I had my normal breakfast but I also had raspberries I measured them in grams on the scale and I had an apple, last one of Richard's with peanut butter. Then, I had some Greek plain nonfat yogurt for a snack before the gym around 1pm and I then a few minutes or so after that I went to the bathroom and had diarrhea for a bit. It was not fun. But finally it was over and that was when I broke the toilet and Richard had to go to home depot when I was at the gym to get a part to fix the toilet. My bad!
So, I am confused as to why it happened, but I need to think about that I ate.
so I was thinking that it was the mints or the apple.
I went to gym to workout today and I did the stairclimber fro 12:10 minutes. Level 4 for one minute, level 10 for 30 seconds. Alternating. Then I did the treadmill. I tried to do it for twenty minutes but stomach was upset and I did only 17 minutes alternating 2.0 incline at 3.7 mph for 1 minute and running/ jogging 5.0-5.1 mph for 30 seconds.
Then I did the hip abduction machine (pushing outward) and I did 6 sets of 30 reps 70 pounds and then I did the hip adduction machine and I did 4 sets of 30 reps 70 pounds and that was tough to do. But I pushed through!!!
Then I did 50 squats. I wanted to do like 60 squats but I just couldn't do any more than fifty. I wasn't going to do planks and butt lifts but after doing some stretching / leg stretches I was able to do 5 planks and timed them on my phone.

It was a very good day in that sense. My stomach still little upset and I had some lemon ginger tea today that is supposed to help with digestion.

So, this morning I had my normal breakfast but I also had raspberries I measured them in grams on the scale and I had an apple, last one of Richard's with peanut butter. Then, I had some Greek plain nonfat yogurt for a snack before the gym around 1pm and I then a few minutes or so after that I went to the bathroom and had diarrhea for a bit. It was not fun. But finally it was over and that was when I broke the toilet and Richard had to go to home depot when I was at the gym to get a part to fix the toilet. My bad!
So, I am confused as to why it happened, but I need to think about that I ate.
so I was thinking that it was the mints or the apple.
I went to gym to workout today and I did the stairclimber fro 12:10 minutes. Level 4 for one minute, level 10 for 30 seconds. Alternating. Then I did the treadmill. I tried to do it for twenty minutes but stomach was upset and I did only 17 minutes alternating 2.0 incline at 3.7 mph for 1 minute and running/ jogging 5.0-5.1 mph for 30 seconds.
Then I did the hip abduction machine (pushing outward) and I did 6 sets of 30 reps 70 pounds and then I did the hip adduction machine and I did 4 sets of 30 reps 70 pounds and that was tough to do. But I pushed through!!!
Then I did 50 squats. I wanted to do like 60 squats but I just couldn't do any more than fifty. I wasn't going to do planks and butt lifts but after doing some stretching / leg stretches I was able to do 5 planks and timed them on my phone.

then I did butt lifts and then I did some more stretching and then ended my workout. About one hour and forty minutes I worked out today.
It was a very good day in that sense. My stomach still little upset and I had some lemon ginger tea today that is supposed to help with digestion.

So Proud.... Down 12 pounds since December 30, 2016!!!!

I weighed in on my scale at 139.4 lbs. This is a great feeling.
But let's back track for a little bit. I weighed in on Saturday January 7, 2017 on Richard's scale at 150 lbs. I weighed in on his same scale today at 138 lbs. So that means in 7 weeks I have lost 12 pounds on his scale. About 1.7 pounds a week give or take. Now on my scale it is a little different. I don't think I weighed in on my scale on January 1st, 2017
But on Friday December 30, 2016 I weighed in on my scale at home at 151.4 lbs. And today Saturday February 25, 2017 on my scale but at Richard's home I weighed in at 139.4 lbs. So that means that I am currently down 12 pounds from that day! That is crazy right? So that is basically losing 12 pounds in 8 weeks. So that means that I lost about 1.5 lbs each week for 8 weeks. That is pretty good if you ask me.
So here is what I did.
On Friday January 20, 2017 I joined with personal trainer Sarah Varno with 30 minute fitness in Leominster, MA. I weighed in that morning on my scale and I was 147.0 lbs and then on her scale that same morning without eating or working out but wearing clothes I weighed in at 150.0 lbs. She took pictures and measurements that day. So I feel that technically I am only down about 7 pounds so far.
I try to workout 2 times a week with Sarah for the 30 minute fitness strength training and then she gives me things to do at home/ gym and to work on. She has also told me to eat a certain way. She gave me a meal guide and to follow that basically. So I did follow it really good in the beginning but now I don't eat the jasmine rice that she suggests because I read about it and figured if I am going to have rice I would prefer it is whole grain/ brown/wild rice. As jasmine rice is not whole wheat it is a type of white fragrant rice and I don't understand it. But I have decided not to tell her that.
This is my body. This is my time. I am trying to do really good.

I attempt to do cardio everyday at planet fitness.
I do 10 minutes on the stairclimber alternating level 4 for one minute and level 8-10 for 30 seconds.
Treadmill: 20 minutes, alternating one minute at 2.0 incline 3.7-3.8 mph and running/ jogging 5.0-5.3 mph no incline for 30 seconds.
That is what Sarah wanted me to do.
Then, I do the hip abduction machine, she wants low weight and high reps 25-30 reps. So, I do 4 sets or more 25-30 reps 70#, but at Townsend gym I have to do the 27.5# because there machine is weird. Then I do the hip adduction machine and I try to do 2-3 sets of 25 reps at 70# this one is so much harder.
Then, I do 50+ squats, feet shoulder length apart. Planks and butt lifts. and Reverse Crunches.
For the planks, I started doing maybe 10 seconds but now I am up to 40 second planks and I can't do them every time. but I push myself and do as much as I can. I usually do about 4-5 planks at the gym. I use the stop clock on my iphone 5 and that helps me.
Then, I do the butt lifts and when I saw Sarah this week this past Thursday February 23, 2017 she told me to add a weigh plate to my stomach/abs and hold it there while I do the butt lifts and it will provide resistance. So that is good. Then I do reverse crunches on the matt. as I don't have a bench with incline to use you know.
I also bought a 10 pound weighted medicine ball and Sarah ok'd that weight for me to use. I want to use it for the Russian twists and other ab exercises.
My goal is to do the strength training 2-3 times a week. Twice with Sarah and once at home. Leominster planet fitness has the medicine balls and I think that Townsend does too. Near that machine that you thrown the balls at I think you can just use the balls for ab workouts and maybe I will next time I am there.
I have been taking pictures all the time. Every day. I just haven't been able to post on here yet. I will when I use on my phone again.
But I am so proud of myself.

Here are some foods that I don't eat anymore. I have not had any of these foods since Monday January 23, 2017 ( I think that is when I fully started)
pizza, sweets, sugary sweets, candy, pastries, donuts, hot chocolate, alcohol, soda, juice, French fries, potatoes, bread, cheese, cottage cheese, cream cheese, foods with high sugars. I try to eat / look at foods before I eat them and make sure the sugar (in grams) per serving is 5g or less. And if not then, I don't eat it.
Here is a little story that happened last weekend that makes me feel good and makes me feel like I got this!
Richard and I went to see Patriots Day on Sunday February 19, 2017 at movies in Hooksett NH and I knew I wouldn't be getting anything to eat. So I brought gum thinking that would be better than nothing right. So, we buy are food and I see something that says "healthy life" so I ask them that that is and they point and tell me it's this nut and fruit thing in a bag and I pass on that. I don't like nuts getting stuck in my teeth and I really don't think it is that healthy for you anyways. But then I see this Welch's fruit snack and it says fat free and no preservatives and all that. So, I tell them that I want that. But that was actually a mistake as well. What I should have done was look at the sugar grams per serving before I had him purchase it for me. But I told them that I wanted it and right when I went to sit down to eat it I turned it over to look at the nutrition facts and that is when I saw that it was like 12g of sugar for one serving and then the ingredients list was a loooooong list. So I knew that wasn't good either you know. BUT... The GOOD THING is this... I didn't eat it. When I saw the 12g of sugar for one serving I knew I couldn't eat it. So, I gave it to Richard and he ended up eating it. I didn't drink much water cuz I had to pee before I went and the movie was two hours and I knew if I drank water I would have to do and I didn't want to miss the movie. So, I ended up chewing A LOT of gum. Not the best decision but better than having junk food right? I think so!
The other thing, since I chewed so much gum that day. I decided on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of last week (February 21-23, 2017) that I would not have any gum. Well, I started it on Tuesday and thought let's try to not chew any gum. So, I did it for 3 days but then on Friday night (yesterday) I was so hungry. It was a weird day for food. As we had to work 830-230pm or so and no lunch so we could get out early. So I had my breakfast around 730am but then just had a couple of snacks and then lunch at 3pm and then went to Manchester and out to Longhorn restaurant with Richard for like 7pm maybe and I got the redrock grilled shrimp with nothing on it. Just plain and then I got a mixed greens salad with no cheese and no croutons and balsamic dressing on side and then sweet potato I got two and gave one to Richard as I shouldn't have two of them. On the sweet potato I asked for it plain. And that was good. Again, I don't eat bread and butter anymore so when it comes he will eat it but I won't.
I think we need/ Richard and I need to find a restaurant we can go to that will serve steamed carrots because 99 and longhorn do not and those are the two places that we tend to go to a lot. I want to find a restaurant that offers a variety of healthy veggies for sides or as sides. That is what I would like to find though, you know.
But I am so proud that I am down like 12 pounds total you know.
And when I did my measurements last week I was down 7.5 inches total! That is so motivating!
And when I see the results like that it makes me push through and it makes me realize that this is all worth it.
When it gets tough at the gym I say to myself :
